The sheet made of high-purity molybdenum (usually ≥ 99.95%) has excellent high temperature resistance, corrosion resistance, and electrical and thermal conductivity, and is widely used in high-end industrial fields.

High temperature resistance:With a melting point of up to 2620℃,it maintains its strength and shape even at high temperatures.

Low thermal expansion coefficient:suitable for precision devices in high-temperature environments.

Good thermal/electrical conductivity:superior to most metals,suitable for electronic components.

Corrosion resistance:resistant to molten metal and acid alkali corrosion(but prone to oxidation at high temperatures,requiring protective atmosphere).

Production process

Powder metallurgy:High purity molybdenum powder is formed by isostatic pressing→high-temperature sintering→rolling→annealing.

Electron beam melting:further purification to reduce impurities.

Cold rolling/hot rolling:to produce plates of different thicknesses(commonly 0.1mm~10mm thick).

Surface treatment:acid washing,polishing,or coating(such as silicide anti-oxidation coating).
